NaNoWriMo progress - day 24

Lousy day's writing, just making my word count. It's simply too damn hot for this. I can see why this idea of NaNoWriMo in November originated in the US, it's too cold to do much else other than write. But here, we're friggin' melting.

Anyone for an Aussie NaNoWriMo in May instead? :)

Bloody right. I've just scraped out 622 words, and 400 of those were in the last 15-20 minutes. I'm going to try and make 1000, but only because I know every little bit helps as I near the end.

Cool change tomorrow, thank goodness.

Actually, May's still pretty warm - how about July?

June!

AussieRhymo

a 50,000 word epic poem along the lines of the Iliad or the Odyssey, but using as many aussie slang words as possible.

eg garbo, bottlo, Robbo, Davo,, guvvo, sunnies, tinnies etc

:D

Well maybe I'd do okay in the heat cause here in Sweden, with a cool -5c, I'm over 20,000 words behind!

*sighs*

Well, you know what writers are like. Keep us at a steady 18 degrees C, feed us chocolate treats and praise, and stand back...

Now it's making sense... where's my bloody chocolate?

*looks aghast*

Funny you should mention that. We've just come back from a NaNoWriMo weekend, and are contemplating having another in May or June (depending on people's schedules).
