...has consisted of more slog on "Last Gig". NEARLY done the first draft of the written portion of the story, hopefully once it's over it'll inspire me a bit to write the songs, which in turn will probably change the text, which will change the songs... and all in just over a week! Eek!
Considering how long I've been pondering this story, and how many false starts I made on it, it's actually been an easy and enjoyable write. The hardest part was (a) finding the characters' voices, and (b) figuring out at which point to start it. Once I got them down, the rest has just flowed. Hopefully it's not crap!
My aim is to finish the text by tomorrow, then work on the songs over the weekend. Technically I only have to write snippets of lyric, but I think I'll be working on tunes on the guitar and keyboard for them as well, just so I know what they sound like. It's a nice break from prose, anyway!
