Homesick again...

So, the other night Izz and I are watching the UK version of The Apprentice, a classic reality show that we both love, just to watch these arrogant, self-important twatsbusiness people taken down a notch or fifty. We're watching, and the men's team is cleaning cars at a minicab company somewhere in London. And they show a quick establishing shot.

The hairs on the back of my neck raise up. Surely it can't be? Then, later, there's another clearer shot of their surroundings.

I turn to Izz and say "That's right next to our flat!" And it is. Those towers are on the corner of Harrington Square and Lidlington Place. The road they're on is Hampsetad Road, the road I'd walk down to go to Regents Park or central London itself if I was feeling energetic. The park barely visible on the left is Harrington Square. And, just past that, is our building, number 23.

It was like we were back in Camden again. And it reminded us yet again just how much we miss it.

Five more years. We pay off the house, and then, with any luck, we'll be back.

Meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeemories...

This Tuesday, at 6.35pm, Scrappy Races starts on ABC2.

What's Scrappy Races?

Just the first UK TV show I ever really watched in London.

Sigh...

Bliss...

Apart from the incessant ads between each round... it's just like being there! :)
