Ticonderoga Online Issue 9!

- “Dwar7es” by Martin Livings is a post-modern take on fairy tales - a common theme for many spec fic writers, but not something I’d ever have thought to associate with Livings. He makes it work with a horror/forensic crime twist that provides an experience somewhat like watching the ABC on Friday “crime TV” night while reading picture books to my toddler. There are plenty of pop culture references and crossovers within, which I won’t mention here because the dawning realisation is part of the fun... but overall this is an enjoyable departure from Livings’ usual fare of quality horror/dark weird stories. Alternately funny and chilling, this is a story that certainly lives up to Ticonderoga’s self-proclaimed desire to publish “gonzo” fiction.

- The other stand out stories for me were Martin Livings’ icky, funny “The Dark Dimension”...
