My apologies for holding my Tuesday's Ten Minute Tale on a Wednesday. I genuinely thought today was Tuesday. How freaky is that???

I need to sleep... for about a month...

Okay, here we go. Thanks to [personal profile] kaelajael for "reflux", [personal profile] punktortoise for "naked ambition" (what's the obsession with nudity, huh???) and [personal profile] editormum for "removalist". And my apologies for the delay, I was at a doctor's appointment!

Here we go yet again... the first three people to post with a word, phrase, topic, theme, name, or whatever, dictate the direction of the story. I'll endeavour to incorporate all three suggestions, and write it within ten minutes of receiving the third post, work allowing. Then I'll post the result.

Okay, here we go. Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] editormum for "Star Trek", [livejournal.com profile] punktortoise for "strawberry blancmange" and [livejournal.com profile] mikandra for "black hole". And [livejournal.com profile] benpeek for the format. Yet again. ;)

A day late, but hey... here we go yet again, the first three people to post with a word, phrase, topic, theme, name, or whatever, dictate the direction of the story. Okay, here we go. Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] angriest for "Titan", [livejournal.com profile] punktortoise for "naked singularity" and [livejournal.com profile] splanky for "cucumber sandwiches". It also took a little longer than ten minutes, please forgive me, I'm out of practise.

Yes, well, it's Tuesday, and it's May, and I haven't really done any TTMT's this year yet, and I need inspiration. So, what the heck, let's start these up again. It's time for Tuesday's Ten Minute Tale!

So, here we go again... the first three people to post with a word, phrase, topic, theme, name, or whatever, dictate the direction of the story. I'll endeavour to incorporate all three suggestions, and write it within ten minutes of receiving the third post, work allowing. Then I'll post the result.

Golly, I hope I remember how to do this... the last one I did was mildly disastrous...
martinlivings: (Brains)
Sorry, that took way longer than ten minutes, mainly due to work, but I'm also out of practice at this. I don't think it's my best work, but I guess it's okay.

For more, you'll need to buy the fanzine. :)

Michnight Echo Issue 1 is now available, and features a cavalcade of stories, including my own "Piggies", which the more astute amongst you might recognise as an edited version of one of my Tuesday's Ten Minute Tales. I miss doing them. Sigh. :(

Also, I'm eleven hours into NaNoWriMo, and haven't yet written a single word, or even had an idea what to write. And probably won't have time to do anything about it today. Ah well, that was easy! Maybe my NaNoWriMo should stand for National Not Writing Month! I think that'd be a bigger challenge for some people I know. Yes, I'm looking at you, [livejournal.com profile] azhure!

Here's the official release statement from the AHWA... )

Okay, here we go. Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] amandapillar for "kidneys" and [livejournal.com profile] fred_mouse for "seaweed". No third word, sorry, I waited too long as it was. :)

Usual disclaimers. One crappy weekend, a day off work sick, very little sleep... this could be awful...
martinlivings: (Writers Block)
Okay, here we go. Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] purrdence for "Vegemite", [livejournal.com profile] splanky for "Heath Ledger", and [livejournal.com profile] ashamel for "Ragnarok". And a bonus word, [livejournal.com profile] hkneale with "succulent". :)

Okay, so Tuesday's Ten Minute Tale is a few days late; I've been at training for the past three days, and so haven't had internet access or the time to do this. But never let it be said that I shirk my duties entirely. So, with a modicum of careful renaming for the sake of alliteration... the first three people to post with a word, phrase, topic, theme, name, or whatever, dictate the direction of the story. I'll endeavour to incorporate all three suggestions, and write it within fifteen minutes of receiving the third post, work allowing. Then I'll post the result.
martinlivings: (Creative Spaces)
Okay, here we go. Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] 1phish2phish for "Schadenfreude", [livejournal.com profile] battersblog for "zither", and [livejournal.com profile] benpeek for "genre: psychogeography" (???).

Okay, here we go. Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] battersblog for "dust", [livejournal.com profile] chrisbarnes for "Trans-Siberian Railway", and [livejournal.com profile] rabbit1080 for "submarine". I'd have loved to go with [livejournal.com profile] benpeek's suggestion of an autobiography, but considering I've never been on the Trans-Siberian OR in a submarine, that makes it difficult. It IS first person, though, so that's kind of autobiographical, right? Right?

BTW, it's really lame today, I'm sorry. I wasn't inspired. I'm tired. Poop. :(

Now that I've finally finished (I think!) my backwards-and-forwards story, complete with title change and a whole new ending... the first three people to post with a word, phrase, topic, theme, name, or whatever, dictate the direction of the story. I'll endeavour to incorporate all three suggestions, and write it within ten minutes of receiving the third post, work allowing. Then I'll post the result.
