Art That Scares You is over!

Wow, that was one hell of a fortnight! I missed out on a few things I wanted (issue 2 of Skinsongs, which would have completed my collection, Trent Jamieson's collection and notes thereof, etc), and forgot to bid on Lee's collection altogether (doh!), but I DID pick up Haines' collection, which is what I REALLY wanted, and somehow my two copies of Carnies sold for $30 and $35 respectively, which is pretty damned respectable, if I do say so myself!

More importantly, I went through all the winning bids, and assuming everyone pays up, the auction will have raised about $4250! Which, is more than respectable. That's frickin' awesome.

I don't think I've ever been as proud to be a part of this community. Seriously. Well done everyone, donators and bidders alike.

End of day. Good couple of days, good start to the novel. Still have absolutely no idea where it's headed, mind you, and it's a bit male-centric at this stage for my liking, but hopefully it'll all sort itself out. Next week's the first week of official writing, since it's not even September yet. I'm cheating by doing this much work before then. :)
