It seems that Friday the 13th of October has been designated the Horror Day of Action. I'm not 100% certain what that entails [1], but it seems we should be encouraging people to read horror. Well duh. :)

At Fantastic Planet bookshop in Perth, they'll be having Horror Day Readings. Go to see Lyn and Lee Battersby, Carol Ryles, Stephen Dedman, Shane Jiraiya Cummings, and others, apparently. Not me, though. It's a bit too much of a commute, though I'd have dearly loved to be there.

What I might do instead is a virtual reading. No, not a podcast, the last time I tried one of those I ended up deleting with extreme prejudice, I hate my voice. But I'll post a link to an original horror short story here on Friday, just a tiny one. I'll only put it up for the day, and I'll remove it after that. Everyone should read it, even those who dislike horror (yes, [livejournal.com profile] girliejones, I am looking at you!). That way, you can all claim to have done your part for the Horror Day of Action TM.

But I digress. If you're in Perth, get thy arse to Fantastic Planet in Shafto Lane on Friday, y'hear? Support your local horror writers. And buy my book while you're there. If you've already bought it, heck, buy another copy for a friend. :)

Propoganda ends. Peace out.

[1] I nearly typed "entrails" instead... there's a Freudian slip for you!

No writing today, due to the fact that I realised my planned ending to the novel wasn't going to work. So, rethinking and readying myself for a writing spike tomorrow. Maybe. :)
