it had to happen, sooner or later. The novel has stumbled to the ground. Ah well. Depending how busy my new job is (starting next week), it may be the end of The Z-Word altogether. Which wouldn't be an altogether bad thing. Pity, though, I was kind of looking forward to revealing the Headhunter, introducing a human from outside the UK who goes around in a kind of diving suit to prevent the zombies smelling his exhalation, and threatening the entire city of London with an electromagnetic pulse.

Still might happen. But for the moment, it needs to rest. Life is taking precedence.

It sounds like you've hit the 30K slump.

Push through it until you reach 40 or 50K. Then if you still feel the book has the blahs, then give up.
