Tuesday's Ten Minute Tale - the setup!

It's the usual... the first three people to post with a word, phrase, topic, theme, name, or whatever, dictate the direction of the story. I'll endeavour to incorporate all three suggestions, and write it within ten minutes of receiving the third post, work allowing. Then I'll post the result.
EDIT - this one might be interrupted by dinner. And possibly bed. Might be the longest ten minutes ever. :)
